Throughout Jesus ministry the disciples concern was who is the greatest? Who is the first? When the mother of James and John came wanting to sit left and right of Jesus it just showed that they wanted to be first and were proud. We talked using scripture where God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble. Jesus says whoever wants to be the greatest in the Kingdom must be not only a Servant, but a slave. Even Jesus the son of God, king of kings the Lord of Lords came as a servant and slave giving his life as a ransom for many. We ended with the example of Karate kid, where the Master says to his pupil, wax on wax off, Jacket on Jacket off, and ends with the quote everything is Kungfu! In the same way when, just like we want to be better in Kungfu like the Karate Kid, when we humble ourselves and listen to our master (Jesus) we start living a lifestyle of Kungfu/ humility. Jesus was the humble king.
