Jesus said that we are “the light of the earth”.
What does it mean to be the light of the world?
1. What does the light do and what does the Bible say about Light?
-Light makes things visible. Life on earth needs the light to see and survive.
-Jesus calls Himself “the Light of the world.” (showed 5 related verses) John said that Jesus is the light that shines in the darkness.
2. What happened when we let the light of Jesus shine before men?
-The darkness (of death, Evil and wicked things) is driven away.
-People can see what Jesus has done for us through our good deeds.
-People can praise God and receive the eternal life.
3. How can we let the light of Jesus shine before men?
The moon can’t produce its own light but its surface reflects light from the Sun. In the same way, we do not have our own light so we must reflect the light from Jesus because Jesus is the true light.
To reflect the light of Jesus:
-We must turn our face toward Jesus by G.R.O.W (Going to church, Reading the bible, Obeying the word, Witnessing for Jesus)
-We must remove the obstacles in our way to Jesus by Tae Kwon Do. (Tell God, Know what’s wrong, Do what’s right)
