1 As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, A)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26431A" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">“Rabbi, B)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26431B" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">who sinned, C)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26431C" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">this man or D)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26431D" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but E)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26432E" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">that the works of God might be displayed in him. We must F)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26433F" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">work the works of him who sent me G)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26433G" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, H)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26434H" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">I am the light of the world.” Having said these things, I)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26435I" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. J)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26435J" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">Then he anointed the man's eyes with the mud and said to him, “Go, wash in K)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26436K" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). So he went and washed and L)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26436L" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">came back seeing.

24 So for the second time they called the man who had been blind and said to him, AB)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26453AB" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">“Give glory to God. We know that AC)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26453AC" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">this man is a sinner.” 25 He answered, “Whether he is a sinner I do not know. One thing I do know, that though I AD)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26454AD" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">was blind, now I see.” 26 They said to him, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?” 27 He answered them, AE)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26456AE" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">“I have told you already, and you would not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become his disciples?” 28 And they reviled him, saying, “You are his disciple, but AF)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26457AF" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">we are disciples of Moses. 29 We know that God has spoken to Moses, but as for this man, AG)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26458AG" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">we do not know where he comes from.” 30 The man answered, “Why, this is AH)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26459AH" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">an amazing thing! AI)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26459AI" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">You do not know where he comes from, and yet he opened my eyes. 31 We know that AJ)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26460AJ" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">God does not listen to sinners, but AK)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26460AK" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, God listens to him. 32 Never since the world began has it been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a man born blind. 33 AL)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26462AL" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.” 34 They answered him, AM)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26463AM" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">“You were born in utter sin, and would you teach us?” And they AN)" data-cr="#cen-ESV-26463AN" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;">cast him out.
